Lush & Luna was born from a mother’s personal journey to create clothing that would ease her children’s skin sensitivities and provide a sense of safety and comfort. The founder, Sarah, driven by her daughter’s struggles with eczema and common issues with children’s clothing, set out to create bamboo loungewear that was not only soft and safe for babies' skin but also stylish and sustainable. Lush & Luna embodies both sophistication and playfulness, offering a thoughtful solution for parents seeking premium, conscious pajamas for their little ones.

Designing a sophisticated yet playful brand identity

Our goal for Lush & Luna’s brand identity was to reflect the premium nature of their products while staying approachable and whimsical, capturing the essence of both the parent and child. We began with the logo design, selecting a modern, minimal font to express the sophistication of the brand. To add an element of playfulness, we customized the ampersand (&), cleverly incorporating it into the letter 'L', creating a unique and memorable brand mark.

The combination of thick and thin strokes in the logo communicates both elegance and a sense of fun. We extended this balance by creating a set of minimal illustrations inspired by children’s drawings, full of character and warmth, to further reinforce the whimsical personality of the brand.

The colour palette was carefully chosen to reflect the brand’s thoughtful approach while evoking feelings of comfort and softness. A deep navy hue brings sophistication and originality to the brand, while cream tones add warmth and echo the softness of the bamboo loungewear. Together, these choices create an inviting yet elevated identity, allowing Lush & Luna to stand out in the market.

Creating an immersive online experience

Our goal for the website was to serve as the digital hub where parents can learn more about the brand’s products and ethos while feeling reassured and empowered. To reflect the brand’s elevated aesthetic and provide a seamless shopping experience, we selected the Prestige theme on Shopify. This theme perfectly aligns with the brand’s modern yet approachable vibe, offering a clean and elegant look.

We prioritized features that would enhance the customer experience, such as a blog with full-sized images and extra sections that encourage browsing, and a ‘Shop the look’ section to simplify the shopping journey for aesthetically-driven moms. We also added custom code to both the homepage and product page, incorporating subtle animations using brand icons. These animations create a whimsical feel, adding a sense of movement without overwhelming their customers.
